Over 4,000 votes cast for the iGB Affiliate Awards

Numbers keep on rising as the voting deadline approaches

5 January 2010 (London, UK): iGaming Business, event organisers of the prestigious iGB Affiliate Awards, have been watching in awe as the largest number of votes cast in the history of these Awards reached a record-breaking number this week. The online gambling community have come out in droves to vote for their favourite operators, merchants and affiliates, exceeding the magical mark of 4,000 votes cast. The organisers of the event are eagerly awaiting the final number before the voting closes on Friday 8th January 2010.

“It really is an amazing achievement.” Alex Pratt, Publisher of iGaming Business and Head of the iGB Affiliate Series of Events stated “We can proudly say that these awards truly represent the view and opinion of the iGaming industry. More surprisingly with all the votes and nominations, this is still a very close race. Every vote still counts, with many different companies having only the smallest of margins to qualify. So make sure you vote before it’s too late.”

Votes can be made through the website www.iGBAffiliateAwards.com, which serves to recognize the best of the best in the online gambling affiliate market. The total votes for each nominee will carry a weighting which will help them as they go through to the judging round, where a panel of unbiased and confidential series of experts within the industry will analyse each nominee against their specific category criteria. This cloak-and-dagger process is specifically to ensure that neither popularity nor foul play corrupts the integrity of the awards and that the time and effort of the 4,000 voters are adhered to and respected. The entire night is in fact shrouded in secrecy, with no word of yet as to the theme of the evening and the respective finalists.

These illustrious Awards will be celebrated on Thursday 28th January at the Grange St Paul’s Hotel in London and will back onto the London Affiliate Conference (LAC), the largest convention for the iGaming affiliate market which is due to commence the following day at Old Billingsgate Expo. These two legendary events, now in their 4th year, have grown to incredible numbers since their launch in 2007 thanks to continued support from the industry. They will undoubtedly continue to surpass the expectations of both affiliates and operators alike, so make sure you keep glued to the grapevine for all the exciting news and announcements if you’re not lucky enough to be attending.
