Irish Poker Awards Site Goes Live

irish-poker-awards.png28 September 2012 (London, UK)- Last week saw the staging of the British Poker Awards in London and organisers Bluff Europe, along with sponsors BoylePoker.com, have announced that voting is now live for the Irish Poker Awards, which will be held at the Regency Hotel Dublin on 21st October, during Boyle Poker’s International Poker Open. Voters can decide their picks from a list of 13 categories, including “Best Tournament Player”, “Best Cash Player” and “Irish Poker Legend”. Nominees have been chosen by a committee of industry experts.

The Irish Poker Awards is now in its second year, with Owen Robinson picking up the all-important Player of the Year gong last time around. It was also a good year for poker legend Padraig Parkinson, who picked up Personality of the Year, as well as Best Blogger.

Organiser Michael Caselli said, “Following on from the massive success of the British Poker Awards, we can’t wait to put on a great show for the Irish Awards, especially at such a fun event as the IPO. It’s really a time when the Irish Poker community comes together to let its hair down and this will give us the chance to honour that community and celebrate Irish Poker in general.”
