Malta iGaming Seminar announces Declan Hill as a Keynote Speaker

declanhill160.jpg 18 August 2014, St Julian’s, Malta (Press Release) — The Malta iGaming Seminar partners announced that they have recruited Canadian Investigative Journalist and Academic, Declan Hill, as a Keynote speaker for MIGS 14, the International iGaming Seminar, that will be held this year between the 11th and 12th November 2014 in Malta.

Mr. Hill is one of the world’s foremost experts on match-fixing and corruption in international sports. He was a Chevening Scholar at Green College, University of Oxford, and received his doctorate for his study of match-fixing in professional soccer. His Award winning book ‘The Fix: Organized Crime and Soccer’ outlines the new danger to international sport posed by the globalization of the gambling market and possible match-fixing at the highest levels of professional football (soccer) including the Champions League and FIFA World Cup tournaments.

In his Keynote address “How To Fix A Football Match: Tactics, Methods and Means” Mr. Hill will enlighten the delegates with the facts of match fixing and provide his insight knowledge which he gathered through his investigative journalism and documentary on the subject. Mr Hill will also address the myths on fixing that are prominent in the gambling world and will point out that the authorities only catch the unsuccessful ones.

The Malta iGaming Seminar is in its 6th Edition and is a seminar targeted to C-level management, start-ups and service providers. It has become an important calendar event for the international gaming community and attracts delegates from all the continents. The topics covered during the event are known to be trending, relevant and sometimes even considered hot and are related to the Global gaming community.
