First Dedicated iGaming Bitcoin Conference Announced

bitcoin4igaming-160png.jpg 17 September 2014, London, UK (Press Release) – Today iGaming Business, the leading publishing and events company for the online gambling industry, announced the launch of a new conference – Bitcoin4iGaming. The event is dedicated to the opportunities Bitcoin and other virtual currencies present to the iGaming sector.

Bitcoin4iGaming will take place on the 24th November 2014 at Dexter House in London, which aptly was the Royal Mint from 1809 to 1968 where all coins in the United Kingdom were manufactured (minted).

Currently Bitcoin and other crypto currencies represent a very small percentage of iGaming revenues. However the opportunity for operators is big with clear advantages such as providing the means to target any person worldwide with little to no friction, 0% chargebacks and positively no fraud. It is not surprising then that the iGaming industry is focused on this rapidly expanding niche.

Ivan Montik, CEO at SoftSwiss spoke to Coindesk recently about this increased focus on Bitcoin. “We’ve got more than 400 requests for the launch of a Bitcoin casino in the last six months,” he said. “We constantly have three to five casinos in the set-up phase, and could have had more if we had more resources.”

In the same article Montik goes on to describe how there are already a large number of high rollers playing in these crypto currency casinos. “On one client website, launched about a year ago, there are single wagers reaching 200-400 BTC. The total amount of Bitcoins wagered on all of the sites operating with the SoftSwiss platform is equal to $10m per month.”

With the attention Bitcoin is attracting from the iGaming sector, organisers are expecting to attract 250 delegates from the iGaming, Bitcoin and investment sectors, and this will be the first time these groups have been brought together. As well as a full day of in-depth conference sessions, organisers have also promised a Bitcoin breakfast boot camp, a dedicated exhibition of Bitcoin providers and enhanced networking events. This will ensure that no matter what level of knowledge or experience delegates have in the virtual currency market they will get incredible return on their investment of both time and money.

“There is without doubt an opportunity for crypto currency in iGaming however there are still lots of questions and misinformation on the whole subject so we are really excited to launch this event and demystify what we believe will be a game changer for our sector,” commented Alex Pratt, Head of iGaming Business.
