Dave “Devilfish” Ulliot to Attend the Punta Cana Poker Classic

punta-cana.jpg2 November 2011 (San Jose, Costa Rica) – Event organizers announced today that renowned poker player Dave “Devilfish” Ulliot will be attending the 2nd annual Punta Cana Poker Classic (PCPC). The World Series of Poker bracelet winner will be playing in the $500,000 Guaranteed land based poker tournament from November 8th to 13th in the Dominican Republic.

“He’s a great figure to come and play our event, and we are thrilled to have him,” commented a PCPC representative. “We’re seeing a growing interest from celebrities and major poker players as the event continues to grow.”

Ulliot, was aptly nicknamed “Devilfish” after the sea creature as he is calm and collected at the poker table but will strike at anytime unpredictably. The colourful poker professional is famous for being a minor figure in the Hull underworld in his youth, spending time in prison for burglary and safe-cracking.

Ulliot has long since retired from any criminal activity and made millions playing on the professional poker tournament circuit. Ulliot voiced his excitement in attending the PCPC this year in a recent interview. “I am expecting some nice weather, nice ladies, and a band so I can play along.”

Those who qualified online or purchased the $3,500 PCPC package will enjoy 5 days and nights at the all- inclusive Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, a $1,500 + $150 buy-in to the main event, with all inclusive premium food and beverage, and $500 towards airfare and a hotel credit for spa golf and tours.

Last minute packages are still available to the public. For more information about the Punta Cana Poker Classic please visit the website at www.puntacanapokerclassic.com
