Bluff Europe Meets Hendon Mob

26th September 2011 (London, UK) – The ink had barely dried on the lucrative contracts drawn up between Genting Poker and The Hendon Mob, but Bluff Europe magazine had already assembled the ‘poker boomers’ for a photo shoot arguably as momentous as the one on a bridge in Archway eleven years ago, that launched them as a brand.

Back then, in September 2000, Victoria Coren’s article in the London Evening Standard served as a “birth certificate”, as Joe Beevers puts it, that turned the notoriety of the four friends from Hendon and Archway into an official moniker and business.

Philip Conneller, Bluff Europe Editor, refers to his interviewees as the ‘poker boomers who never went bust’ in an exclusive feature that charts how two home games in two different parts of London went on to form the creation of the UK’s number one poker website (www.thehendonmob.com) with the world’s biggest poker database, and how their new deal with Genting is like “coming home”.

Mob members, Barny Boatman, Ross Boatman, Joe Beevers and Ram Vaswani will be representing GentingPoker.com in tournaments, starting this weekend with the £10,000 Added Genting Poker Players Championship, which commences on Saturday afternoon in the Circus Casino, Star City, Birmingham.

The interview will feature in the October issue of Bluff Europe, which is out now.

Fans of The Hendon Mob can also sign up to a near 50% discount on annual Bluff Europe subscription by visiting http://bluffeurope.com/mobrule/.
