Ask Jeeves Launches Bingo Game with GTECH G2

g2-askjeeves160.gif4 January 2011 (London, UK) – Ask Jeeves today launches an exciting new bingo game with prize money potentially ranging from £2 – £100,000 for lucky winners. The new site, www.askbingo.co.uk, is being powered by GTECH G2 which will provide the bingo network, software and customer management systems.

The site, which will feature live free play and real play bingo games, was created in response to the high number of questions which Ask Jeeves receives about bingo.

Rob Sheppard, Senior Product Manager of Ask Jeeves, said: “The mass of questions we receive – 360,000 questions every single day – gives us an opportunity to really get to know our customers’ interests, so we can develop products which are completely in line with them. The launch of Ask Bingo is the first of many customer focussed products we are planning in 2011.”

For as little as 10p players on askbingo.co.uk can win prizes potentially ranging from £2 to £100,000. Players can also take part in chat forums with other players while they play. Ask Jeeves will promote the service through the popular Question of the Day and Smart Answer features on its site, as well as via social media.

“It’s an honour to be associated with such a respected brand,” said William Scott, VP Commercial, GTECH G2. “We’re proud that our games and our responsible gaming provisions meet their standards and look forward to introducing their players to many new instant play games as we move forward.”

“We look forward to working closely with the GTECH G2 team to build Ask Bingo into a strong part of our UK business. Their product is engaging, and easy to use, and joining their international network offers great benefits to our players,” said Rob Sheppard of Ask Jeeves.

Askbingo.co.uk will be part of GTECH G2’s International Bingo Network and enjoy the benefits of instant liquidity, large jackpots and live bingo presenters – actual hosts that chat with players via streaming video during and between games. UK bingo sites that are powered by GTECHG2, like ChitChatBingo.co.uk, Littlewoods and Butlins, are now hosted by a live presenter every evening. The integration of the unique new feature follows the move of all GTECH G2 UK bingo sites to an improved network and updated bingo software last spring. A demo of the new Bingo Live presenters can be viewed at: www.lyceummedia.com/gtechg2/bingo.

GTECH G2 is the only interactive gaming software and services provider that can supply a complete end-to-end solution including lottery, poker, sports betting, bingo, casino, skill games, instant games and back office systems to commercial and state-run operators.

Ask Jeeves is the 14th largest internet property in the UK and has more than 14 million unique users every month. The company is focusing on innovative products and features that more effectively provide answers to customers’ questions.
