After toasting his win at Sportingbet’s London offices, the young accountant and his entourage were taken to lunch after which he and his proud fiancé went on a shopping spree.
Mr. K Vasileiadis staked a relatively small amount (€27) on the Super Seven’s online slot machine and won the massive jackpot of €940,966. This is the largest online casino win in Greece ever, and the biggest casino win on Sportingbet.com.

What did you do when you realised that you had won €940000?
Initially I thought there was some mistake. I had pressed the spacebar on the Super Sevens slot and moved away from my PC for a minute to get some water. As I approached I heard the sound it makes when you win, the sound went on and on and I could see the winning sum counter increasing and increasing, it kept increasing for about 30 minutes! As I realised that this might actually be true, I started pulling my hair and crying from the excitement.
What do you intend to do with the money?
I haven’t decided yet, it still needs to sink in. I know I must do something with it, but I don’t know what.
How did your friends and family react to the news of your win?
Once I pulled myself together, I called my family and a few of my best friends. I initially told them I had won €300000. I thought that wouldn’t freak them out completely at the time. The first thing I asked them when I called them was ‘Are you sitting down’? They soon gathered over to my house where I told them the actual amount I had won. Some started to jump up and down, some cried. Everyone was extremely happy for me. My family also gave me words of caution about the future, to spend the money wisely and treat it with respect.
Do you think the money will change you?
No, I think I will remain the same. I will remain at my job as an office assistant, I just think the money will provide me with more security, make me less stressful and more optimistic for my future.
Did it cross your mind that you might not be given the money?
I have been playing with Sportingbet for a couple of years now and have won money a number of times, both on the sportsbook and the casino, around €6000. I was promptly paid on all occasions and had no doubt I would get paid very quickly this time as well, as did actually happen.
What is the first thing you will buy with the money?
I would like to buy a car, a Peugeot 307, 1600cc. I just love them.
