MIGS16 Confirms Conference Chairs, Malta Gaming Authority to Support Event

migs-new-logo-300x250.png7 JULY 2016, MALTA (Press Release)- Recently, The Malta iGaming Seminar (MIGS) organising committee confirmed that Malta Gaming Authority, regulatory body responsible for the governance of all gaming activities in Malta, has confirmed its Lead Supporting role for the eight year in a row.

“The continued support of our event from the MGA only provides us with the confidence that we are on the right track and that we are delivering quality content to the Gaming Community.” “Our event is unique in that it attracts decision makers from all over the world to understand, discuss and debate global iGaming topics.” said Jeffrey Buttigieg, Director of MIGS.

The organisers further announced that Michael Casseli, one of the world’s experts in online gambling, has once again confirmed his position as a conference chair whereas AJ Thompson, another veteran from the iGaming Industry will also be a conference chair. Both iGaming veterans have supported MIGS since the event’s infancy.

Michael Caselli has been involved in the gaming industry since 1996 when he completed his MBA thesis analyzing the viability of gaming on the Internet. Since then, Michael has helped to successfully launch several online and print gaming publications, consulted on numerous iGaming projects and unites industry executives at the many iGaming events he and his companies organize. Mr. Caselli shares his expertise by participating as an organizer, host, chairman and moderator for several leading international interactive gaming conferences. In additional to his publishing role, Michael is the organizer of Fire & Ice, the iGaming industry’s largest social gathering, and Poker in the Park, Europe’s largest poker festival.

AJ Thompson has experience designing, building and operating gaming systems throughout nearly every licensed gaming jurisdiction over the past eighteen years. With a family history in the betting business, Mr. Thompson has worked as the CTO to several major i-gaming operations and has worked across the world in Curacao, London, Spain, Canada, Sweden, Philippines and in Malta amongst others.

Speaking of the confirmations, Sue Schneider, the MIGS16 main Conference Chair, said “It will be a pleasure to work with both Michael and AJ in our next MIGS16 edition. Both of these two bring a world of expertise and an entertaining style to the table which ensures continuation and interactive discussion panels which is what MIGS delegates have become accustomed to over the years.”

Sue Schneider is currently working with the MIGS 16 organising committee in building the topics and discussion panels for the event and has already secured a number of speakers. This year’s theme will be “Navigating Uncharted Waters” which will address many challenges that operators are facing today, including Brexit, New Regulations, Opportunities, eSports, Payment alternatives and other appealing and hot topics that will surely entice delegates from all over the world.
