Matchbook Community Gives Back With Charity Partnership

right_to_play_matchbook.jpg 1 April 2014, London, UK (Press Release) — Matchbook is delighted to announce a partnership with the leading sport for development charity, Right To Play.

To celebrate the success of its 0% commission on soccer promotion, all commissions generated on the Matchbook exchange on April 1st will be donated to the global sport for development charity, Right To Play.

CEO Mark Brosnan commented: “As an exchange community we’re delighted funds can be raised by our users to support Right To Play in creating healthier and happier communities for young people facing poverty, disease, violence and discrimination around the world. We have a community of thousands of sports fans and it is important for us to support a charity that uses sport and play to change the lives of so many who are in real need.”

He continues “Our business model has always been focused on giving value back to our users and we’re delighted to make this contribution on their behalf. Our commitment to a low-margin cost structure continues with the announcement that 0% commission will continue for all football handicap markets, until the end of the season, as well as ongoing commission-free betting on inplay tennis.”

Brosnan concluded: “Competition is at the heart of our exchange community and in addition to donating funds to Right To Play directly, we will be allocating additional money to cricket super star and Right To Play Athlete Ambassador Darren Gough for him to use on our betting exchange. All money he wins from this will be donated to Right To Play on top of Matchbook’s donation on April 1st.”
